All service begins with an evaluation. Evaluations are completed yearly, prior to graduation from therapy, and as needed. Progress reports are completed quarterly.
Speech Therapy for Children
We provide a full range of services starting with children who are a year old. Working closely with families and other members of the child’s support team, we aim to introduce natural, easy ways to work on goals when the child is not in speech sessions. We discuss what is already part of your family’s routine to design simple and effective ways to work toward the progress of goals when not “in speech.”
We treat children with borderline, mild, moderate, severe and profound disorders. Examples include:

Treatment will begin following an evaluation, parent interview and review of educational and medical history. Time during sessions is dedicated to discussing insights into our client’s: strengths, challenges, changing needs. We collaborate with families to establish supportive and functional routines and home activities so our clients meet their goals efficiently and carryover their skills to everyday life.
Student advocacy services are offerred to ensure the needs of the student are met within the school and community. For example, we help prepare the team for and participate in special education meetings. We help parents understand: their rights, the special education process/documentation and school services.

Working closely with families and other members of the individual’s support team, we aim to introduce natural, easy ways to work on goals when the individual is not in speech sessions. We discuss what is part of your home routine and will design simple and effective ways to work toward the progress of goals when not “in speech.”
We treat adults with borderline, mild, moderate, severe and profound disorders. Examples include:
Cognitive linguistics: Memory, attention/focus, reasoning, planning, goal setting, time management, medication management, self awareness and self monitoring, problem solving, safety recall
Swallowing skills

We work with individuals who have had challenges due to stroke, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, lupus, dementia, brain injury, neurological affects of addiction, PTSD, autism, social language, cognitive deficits, cerebral palsy, special needs, ADD/ADHD, stuttering, vocal disorders and those in CA recovery.

Adult advocacy services are offerred to ensure the needs of the client are met within the vocational environment and community. For example, we help clients understand they have protection under the ADA, consult with doctors and can participate in care meetings in assisted living facilities.

Nature-based Education Program
Our skilled enrichment education program is now offered in The Woodlands and North Houston. We offer nature based learning with activities that nourish the development of communication, critical thinking, problem solving, attention, awareness, literacy, writing, imagination, creativity, leadership, emotional intelligence, and personal responsibility.
Communication and connection with self, others, spirit and nature are part of our language-enriched activities for students from preschool to high school. Our weekly schedule includes activities such as art, music, exercise, yoga, story telling, exploration, building and free play.
Students will gain increased confidence, leadership skills, rich and meaningful social relationships, communication and life skills, wisdom of the natural world, and insights into themselves

Contracts
Contracts for student groups, schools, home care agencies, skilled care nursing facilities and hospitals are available through traditional in person learning and teletherapy on Zoom. Full speech language services provided including:

Advocacy Support Services
We provide consultative, educational and advocacy services for schools, return to work, home support, care facilities and community organizations (i.e. clubs, teams, etc). We will attend meetings as a client advocate to help further support client’s relationships and independence as they return or adapt to real world experiences.
For Children
Our intention in these services is to be an educational bridge between parents and the school to facilitate working as a team in best interest of the student and as protected by IDEA. If you would like information about the special education and speech therapy process in the schools and how we can support you, we encourage you to book a free consultation. We are happy to consult with staff on your behalf and attend care/IEP meetings with you. We also work with homeschool children and their unique needs.
For Adults
We work to advocate for use of simple, functional ways increase independence, communication and safety across life activities. This can include vocational/community supports and advocacy for participation, education and collaboration with other members of your support team, including medical professionals or making referrals, when appropriate. We want to educate and empower families with solutions to challenges, information on nature of an individual’s diagnosis and other support techniques to make everyday activities easier.

Summer Camp
Our Youth Leadership theme is communication with self, nature/spirit and others. We currently have openings for all ages. Held on our forest school grounds, in Montgomery- north of houston.
Speech-language nature and adventure workshops: Waitlist for interested parties is open for enrollment. Nature-based language enrichment activities will be rotated with collaborative group projects, sensory development opportunities, and fine and gross motor centers. Children will improve skills in the area of literacy, articulation, receptive/expressive language, social skills, fluency and play. Current IEP and private speech-language goals can be targeted. Includes a free 1:1 consultation per month which will cover current status, progress and optional functional home programming. Parents are welcome to stay.
